TimeScape Art Residency at FLORÌDA March 2025.
Florìda invites artists to apply for a residency during March 2025 in the fascinating cultural scene of Genoa, Italy, with the aim of carrying out artistic research. TimeScape is a research-based residency led by curator Elettra Bottazzi, and hosted at Florìda, an independent cultural space, dedicated to the promotion and creation of contemporary art.

DECEMBER - SMALL TALKS
DECEMBER 17 h 7.30 pm
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m., you are invited to the last event of SMALLTALK! of 2024: a dialogue dinner to the beat of a timer. Sitting at the table with us will be Luís Costa (PT), a Portuguese artist and cultural activist engaged in projects related to sound, water, and rural territories.
The dialogue will be mainly in Italian, but we do not disdain other idioms. It is realized with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo's “Participation at the Center” call for proposals.
Admission is open to all up to a maximum of 25 people; reservations are welcome and recommended.
DECEMBER - EXHIBITION
DECEMBER 14 h 6.30 pm
Florìda invites you to discover what was created during Sue Kim and Alice Rissotto's month-long artistic residency. The artists have experimented in parallel with materials, findings, constructions and reworkings that develop in space and time, assisted by the curatorship of Federica Balletto. On Saturday, you can meet them and delve into their research through three installations made especially for Florìda.
NOVEMBER - OPENSTUDIO
NOVEMBER 28 h 6.30 pm
Florìda opens its doors and invites you to immerse yourself in the artistic practice of Sue Kim (KOR) and Alice Rissotto (IT). The two artists are waiting for a chat, a cup of tea or a glass of wine and introduce you to their work, artistic practice and projects in development during this residency.

JUNE - EXHIBITION
On Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m., Florìda will open its doors once again to show the work carried out this month by the three artists in residence, for the residency project LOOK OVER THE EDGE. Anna Rotaenko, Valeria Moro e Nicolò Minisi will present their site-specific research projects and installations that speak of territory, urban landscapes, transformation & migrations.

JUNE - SMALL TALKS
JUNE 5 h 7.30 pm
Florìda invites you to join a dinner in dialogue with artists-in-residence Valeria Moro and Anna Rotaenko. We will discuss narratives and identities in the territory. Participants are invited to dialogue as equals, comparing experiences and points of view, seated at the same table—food curated by Luca Conte, an artist and gastronomist. The event will be held in a mixed Italian and English dialogue. The event is realized with the support of the “Participation at the Center” call for proposals from Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo

A publication encompassing the summary of activities during Florìda's first year is now available.

MARCH - EXHIBITION
On Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m., Florìda will open its doors once again to show the work carried out this month by the two artists in residence.
Elisabetta Cameli and Francesca Migliorin will present Mappa del Sensibile and Pròteo, two site-specific research projects and installations that speak of encounters, transformations, and relationships with place.

MARCH - SMALL TALKS

We propose an informal dialogue on contemporary issues supported by images and conviviality. Once again, we will sit around and set the table (as much as possible) to discuss cross-cutting themes across practices and professions with few hierarchies, if not a tyrant-timer! Elisabetta Cameli will introduce the topics of the dinner.

Divago has arrived in Florìda! ...and we take the opportunity to sit around a table -or something similar- and inaugurate the 2024 Small Talks. Same convivial formula: 3 courses and 3 topics of free discussion, we chat and discuss the topics of participation, revaluation and inclusion. The opening this timee is proposed by the curatorial duo @mixta_____ , founders and promoters of the Via del Campo contemporary art festival, while among the diners may be some of the artists who will participate in the third edition of @divagofestival__ , scheduled for September, currently in residence, committed to exploring the territory and deepening their research.

The opportunity to apply for a one-month residency during March at Florìda is now open. Two calls are available, one for residents outside Genoa and one dedicated to young local artists.

Luca Conte presents a hybrid collection investigating the depths of instincts. It is a contemporary story distinguished by holes in the water and embodied mythologies—a hospitable, warm, and public service followed by a stony first course.
It's an inseparable end in the presence of a sweet monster, guardian of a collection of fountains.

Laura Lecce moderated a conversation between the author, Vincenzo Estremo, and Andrea Staid.

It's small talk and dinner at Florìda this Thursday, November 16, at h.7.30 pm.
Taking advantage of the culinary art of Luca Conte, in residence at Florìda for this month, we will talk about the sea and food, sitting around a table, changing topics as the dishes on the table change. Everyone is welcome to join.
OCTOBER - XIX GIORNATA DEL CONTEMPORANEO
October 7, h 6-8 p.m.
For the 19th Day of the Contemporary, on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Florìda opens the doors at Piazzetta dei Fregoso 2R to invite you to enter the workshop and see the site-specific installation created by Ivana Radovanovic during her residency period at the studio.

Radovanović and Lorenzo Ramos will be presenting their site-specific installations titled "Roots Column" and "Fallacio's Grazing" in Piazzetta dei Fregoso 2r. The exhibition will also be open on September 14 and 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

On the occasion of "Genova BeDesign Week 2023
Presentation of the experimental collection of glass lanterns and light installation. Concept and realization by Edoardo Rossi.
After studies between Antwerp and London, Edoardo, an artist and designer, returns to Genoa, where he rediscovers and explores his native habitat by recontextualizing forms, stories, and content through a game of composition that must first and foremost entertain the eye.

Acò Garcìa, an Argentine artist-traveler, finds inspiration and cultivates relationships around the world, which becomes his home and a pretext for exploring new languages. The traces of his travels are expressed by the movement of his brushes through large, sometimes monumental, automatic paintings.
Once rolled up, her canvases become carry-on luggage, full of emotions and meanings ready to be displayed on the next stop of her journey.

A new place that does not open, but invites you to come in, peek and get to know us to understand more.
